Our bath resurfacing & repair service excels at restoring damage to any type of bath or shower, including acrylic baths.
Does your bath or shower need resurfacing? Perhaps you want to change the colour completely or repair a chip or crack? Either way we have the right solution for you.
Minor damage to acrylic baths can be professionally polished out, rendering the repair virtually invisible. For deeper damage penetrating the structural mesh, a fill and localised respray become necessary. While smaller chips can often be filled with a colour-matched polishable filler, larger chips typically require a localised respray using matching paints.
Cracks on the front lip or internal areas of the bath can be repaired through structural repairs followed by gel repair techniques. While polishing lighter damage is relatively quick, a fill and respray of gel coat may take around 1 hour, and a full structural repair and gel coat repair could extend to 2 hours or more, depending on the extent of damage.
New Colour Bath or Shower? No Problem
Our system allows you to resurface, in the colour of your choice, baths, basins, tiles, shower trays and almost anything you can think of without the hassle and cost of removing them.
We can refinish any surface, cast iron, (enamel) pressed steel, acrylic (fibreglass, upvc, plastic) china, porcelain and stone resin.
Shower Tray Repairs
The gel coat finish on most shower trays is softer and thinner compared to baths, making them prone to damage. Unlike baths, shower trays cannot be flattened and polished.
Our expertise extends to repairing all types of shower trays, including acrylic, resin, and porcelain, addressing issues from re-polishing to chips, scratches, gouges, and structural cracking.
We typically attempt to fill any chips with a colour-matched polishable filler with similar strength and hardness to the shower tray. In severe cases, plastic welding repairs may be necessary, followed by localised or full resprays, which can be time-consuming.
Cost-Effective Solutions
Choosing repair over replacement is often more cost-effective. Replacing a shower tray involves multiple trades such as tilers, plumbers, painters, and mastic men. Hence, opting for our repair service is generally the most economical option.
